Narrative Description of Project:
The project was designated to document performance of existing constructed wetlands (CW) systems, disseminate, replicate and commercialize the constructed wetland technology so that it becomes a common method of treating municipal wastewater. Commercialization of this technology is anticipated to take place via dissemination, sensitization, and development of design and operations standards, development of operations and maintenance manual, standardization and formalization of CW technology
Services Provided by ENVICON:-
- Conduct survey to identify: knowledge of CW, alternative wastewater treatment technologies, problems faced by wastewater handlers;
- Develop communication strategy (That will help to identify key stakeholders, their needs, how to access them, messages to be delivered to them);
- Prepare and distribute training and awareness materials(brochure, fliers, posters);
- Conduct public/ stakeholders meetings, seminars and workshops;
- Prepare video documentary on the problems, State of wastewater treatment using alternative technologies, CW technologies and its performance, experiences of those who have been using the technology;
- Broadcast the TV documentary.
